My HBRTG pair laid their first batch of Eggs

My HBRTG now abt 5 years old since I bought them young from different farm. I bought abt 6 and finally this two paired up in the 3rd year.
And now, my paired HBRTG laid their first batch of eggs in the morning after I left for work.
Sadly, I got to xperience to handle this excitement and nothing hatch.
Futher more, Im gonna be out station soon. No chance to see their second bacth.

What a waste bro, maybe you can consult other bro here whos aro laid egg in the tank too?
>any closeup of the eggs? the male is suppose to scoop them into his mouth and hold them till they become free swimming.
im no expert but it takes a some time for the frys to emerge, while still stuck to the egg sac. maybe 2weeks before they become free swimming.
i think if no male scoops them up, u can collect them into a hatching container and use a airstone to bubble them.
>how to hatch so fast????
>think now e eggs are not useful already...so near e filter...if male let out the juice...e juice haven reach the eggs already flow to filter liao..
1. use a soft net to scoop the eggs.
2. fill another tank of water from this hbrtg tank. fill water till can cover the glass bowl over 1inches plus,
3. 1 big glass bowl with tall sides then put the eggs inside, use bubbles to aerate it. (not too strong till the eggs get flush out of the bowl)
4. eggs turn mouldy then fail.
perhaps can work...perhaps not...this is a simplify method of trying. so no harm trying.
wish u good luck.
ask my lao da Johnny5,,,he talks to aro one...he is the aro whisperer...LOL
>Congrats to you! Im no expert here, but do have breeder friends.. Heard its quite difficult for the eggs to hatch in tank condition. However all the best, hope that yours could be the first
>all the best...
>If Aro doesnt even bother to pick up the eggs and hold in its mouth......... No hope.....
Moving forward, since this is a pair, I suggest you rent a small pond (mud base) and put your aros there. Much higher chance of success.
>Totally agree with bro johnny5 wish u gd luck
