Guidelines for Events Activities
INTRODUCTIONAFT Forum is organised for Sharing, Educational Recreational purposes. As such, we are inspired to bring these Core Values to the new generation of fish keepers in AFT via a series of events or activities to broaden our knowledge in the modern fish farming/keeping, points to note when selecting our dream fish, caring of live stocks, sharing of fish keeping experiences among members of the forum building long lasting friendship along the way.
Our main objective is to serve as a link between local Farms/Local Fish Shops and hobbyists, so as to share, learn have an enriching experience together. We also hope to create awareness of new or existing farms and shops to our members in a series of events and activities which are now forming up in our work plan’s pipeline and these shall be make known to all in the near future. At the end of the day, we hope that as our forum progress, we would also want you to move forward with us in the quest for a greater level of self satisfaction in our passion for fish keeping.
EVENT FUNDING GUIDELINES
We acknowledged that AFT is a privately owned property and is also a non profitable organization. In view of this, we do not and will not accept any forms of monetary donations from our forum’s members or from members of the public to fund for any of our events activities.
We are also aware that organizing events without funds bring us nowhere. Thus, we have setup some basic guidelines to safeguard our forum from violation of tax laws as well as to prevent receiving kickback from commercial entities.
Every dollar earned shall be declared and placed under transparency with sticky thread created in the AFT Clubhouse under “Event Activity” forum. Profits to be put into the common event fund, solely for expenditure purposes for future events or other activities. Profits from respective events or activities shall be entrusted to the appointed treasurer of AFT (Gouldian aka Joseph) for safekeeping. The treasurer is accountable to the Admin of AFT.
APPROVED MEANS OF GENERATING EVENT FUND
1. Auction under Sponsorship based events.
Collaboration with Suppliers, Farms, LFS… etc. to sponsor live stocks, products, vouchers, services for Auctions. The starting bid to be mutually agreed upon by the sponsor/s and Event Organizing Team and the different between the winning bid to the start bid shall be channelled to AFT Event fund.
2. Group Buys.
A relatively special rate or discount to be given by Suppliers on products, live stocks, services… etc. with Minimum-Order-Quantity (MOQ; if applicable). Commission from the sales agreeable by the supplier will also go to the AFT Event Fund.
3. Sales of AFT Collectibles.
Memorabilia such as printed Ts, decals, caps… etc., in conjunction with certain events, activities or anniversary. All profits from the sales shall be channelled to AFT Event fund.

AFT Team or Event Organizing Team do not accept any responsibilities where anyone acts or refrains from action resulting in lost of live or property as a result of participating in AFT organized events, activities or sales/auction of items. All selling price of items from participating suppliers are only solely meant to publicize our forum as well as marketing for the participating supplier which eventually ripe benefit to our forum’s members. It is never our intention to cause a price war among other distributors or traders in the commercial entities as each product sales category will not be an on-going sales event with restriction in MOQ whenever possible.
